As part of the International Climate Initiative, Remi follows and informs the negotiations at the U.N. Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) and seeks to develop innovative policy solutions to address climate change bilaterally and multilaterally.

Remi leads WRI’s work on role of the UNFCCC in a broader enabling environment for enhanced collective climate action. As such, he informs the design of procedures and institutions to measure, report and verify country commitments in a way that is environmentally sound and aligns with countries’ domestic priorities. In addition, his research focuses on ways to raise ambition in the climate regime through a comprehensive legal framework and periodic reviews of the long-term global goal and the implementation of country commitments.

Prior to this, Remi was a Research Analyst and Coordinator with WRI’s Institutions and Governance Program, which works with Governments, NGOs and public and private banks to promote transparent, inclusive and accountable decision-making on environmental and natural resource issues. Remi holds a joint BA-MA in Political Science from Sciences Po Lyon (France).
