Two Ways to Get Involved with Aqueduct
The Aqueduct project is implemented by the Aqueduct Team at the World Resources Institute (WRI) and its core contractors: ISciences for hydrological modeling and Blue Raster for mapping tool and website development.
An Aqueduct Alliance supports the project financially and substantively to ensure a robust, credible, and independent final product.
1) Become a Funder
Depending on the level of contribution, supporters are recognized as “Lead Sponsors”, “Sector Sponsors” or “Supporters

2) Become an Advisor
Expert advisors – from companies, government agencies, NGOs and academia –participate in an Aqueduct Alliance Working Group that is divided into Design, Sector Weighting, and Application Task Teams.
- The Design Task Team supports the development of the Aqueduct database and its applications.
- The Sector Weighting Task Team establishes industry sector weighting schemes for the Aqueduct risk indicators.
- The Application Task Team road-tests the database and its applications, and promotes the use of Aqueduct and its derivate applications by public and private sector decision-makers.

The Aqueduct Team is currently reaching out to prospective advisors to join the Working Group and Task Teams. We welcome the insights of a wide variety of perspectives including:
- Academic experts
- Private sector experts
- Government experts
- River basin commissions
- International organizations
- NGO experts
- Consultants
To ensure maximum representation among Aqueduct advisors and protect the independence and integrity of the project, there is no financial requirement associated with Working Group membership.
